These new gauges are really cool and easy to read. With a normal gauge, the needle usually starts around 7 o’clock and goes all the way around to 5 o’clock. With these gauges, the needle starts at around 10 o’clock and ends at about 2 o’clock. This is a lot shorter distance for your eyes to look at while you’re racing. Being easier to read, allowed the gauges to be smaller, which is also lighter. They were made specifically to holdup to the vibrations of a sprint car.
